Vigilante is trending because Agunechemba Vigilante Group looking for yahoo boys, raided an NYSC Corpers lodge in Anambra State, brutalized and stripped a corps member naked, accused her of being a fraudster.

Anambra govt claims they’ve been arrested. Police claims otherwise. The assault happened on July 23rd but the video made rounds on Monday. 

Anambra Government hurriedly claimed they’ve arrested the enthusiastic unprofessional security men, and they are investigating the incident. 

Meanwhile according to the public, they’ve not been arrested.

Anambra police command later released a statement hinting they’ve not been arrested, they’ve only ‘identified’ the vigilante men. And they are working with their superiors to get justice.

Also, since the victim, Jennifer Edema Elohor has since made herself unavailable, they can’t proceed with investigations.

Despite the Corpers showing the vigilantes their uniforms, and ID cards, they insisted they were yahoo boys and girl. And Jennifer especially is a yahoo girl and a prostitute. So they treated her as such.

Meanwhile, according to an aide of Anambra governor Soludo, the vigilantes were after some cultists who ran into the compound with their motorcycles.

So, as they were ‘searching’ the rooms, they had an issue with the corp member which led to the assault. And immediately, the vigilante men were arrested.

Yet, police remains unable to confirm or speak on their arrest.

Nigerians strongly believe none of the vigilantes was arrested. As neither the police nor the government posted their pictures.

Others are demanding for justice for Jennifer. While some are partially blaming her for provoking the officers.
