Rhonda Paulynice from Fort Pierce, Florida, killed her 6-year-old son, Ra'myl Pierre, because she believed he was possessed by demons.

In May 2025, Paulynice carried out what she called an "exorcism." According to her, God told her to suffocate her son to cast the demons out. Ra'myl resisted and tried to fight back, but she overpowered him and held him down until he stopped breathing.

After killing him, she wrapped his body in sheets and left him on the bed, checking on him every day, thinking he’d somehow rise again. Meanwhile, she told no one.

On May 30, 2025, police came to the house after Ra'myl had been absent from school for over two weeks. School officials had requested a welfare check. When officers got there, they were hit with the smell of decomposition. Rhonda was laughing, crying, and reportedly saying bizarre things about God and spirits.

She was arrested and charged with second-degree m?urd?r, failure to report a de@th, and tampering with evidence.
